Willie Davismckennie

Candidate for Village Trustee

Hi, My name is Willie Davismckennie. I have been living in Mundelein since 1987 and worked in town since 1984. My wife Denise and I have been married since 1984 and have 2 sons Xavier  29 and Zenen  27. I’m a small business owner of a cabinet shop in Mundelein where I have worked for the past 25 years. My family and I are members of  Santa Maria Del Popolo church and I’m also affiliated with the Knights of Columbus where I was Grand Knight for 2 years.  I recently completed my term as Co-President of the Luther College Alumni Council. Presently I am serving on the Board of Regents at Luther College at Decorah Iowa where I earned my BA in communications and Art.  I would like to see the town grow, be more transparent, and have term limits on government officials. With Mundelein in motion, I  would like to see our community grow, bring more business and happiness to everyone that comes to life in our town.

Angela Trillhaase

Candidate for Village Trustee

I have a great sense of pride as a Mundelein resident and want to get involved at a higher level.   My husband of 36 years, Walt, and I have enjoyed raising our family in Mundelein and I want to help make Mundelein a Village people continue to want to raise their families.   I am a co-founder of A-MAY-zing Mundelein, and 100+ People Who Care, Northern Illinois, as well as the Primary Benefactor, Student Mentor, and Coach of the Mundelein High School Incubator Program.   As a businesswoman (currently Global Director at IBM, previously the owner of two local businesses), I want to bring more varied businesses into our Village.   I believe I am a community-builder and, as such, want to collaborate with others to create a stronger sense of connectedness to Mundelein.

Ray Mullen

Candidate for Village Trustee

I have been a resident of Mundelein since 1983. Although we have sold the business, our family-owned Debbie’s Floral in town for over 30 years. My wife Jennifer and I have 6 children and 13 Grandchildren. I believe in community involvement and support. I am a member of the Community Days Commission, Board member of Mundelein Community Connection, Board member of the Mundelein Citizens Emergency Response Team, the Mundelein Vernon Hills Rotary Club and The Old Number One Committee.

I am running for Village Trustee because I strongly believe that The Village needs to improve fiscal responsibility and be more proactive in attracting and keeping businesses within our community.

Heather Mullen-Gaschler

Candidate for Village Clerk

My name is Heather Mullen-Gaschler and I am running for Village Clerk. I have lived in Mundelein for about 23 years total, between living here when I was growing up and the last 9 years when I moved back here to live with my own children for them to grow up here. I have two wonderful boys, a freshman at Mundelein, and a seventh-grader at Carl Sandburg. Currently, I am the bookkeeper for Walker Bros. Original Pancake House’s Corporate Office. However, before that, I was the Office Manager and Massage Therapist for a Chiropractor in Mundelein for 11 years which I still do on a part-time basis. My family owned a business in town for over 30 years and I worked in that business as well. I am running for Clerk because I love this community, I have always loved this community, so much so that I moved back here so my children could grow up here just as I did. I want to be more involved and I feel that Village Clerk is a great opportunity to do so and with my excellent organization skills and attention to detail I believe that I would be an ideal candidate. When my mother was still alive, she was incredibly involved in this community that she loved so much, and I would like to do the same which I know would make her proud. I proudly live in this community; I work in this community and I want to work for this community!
